pip - your coding buddy
see how much your AI coding tools get done β and make a game of improving it π
Before you install:
pip reads activity already saved by Claude Code and Codex. Use at least one of those tools first;
pip does not generate code or tokens by itself.
Download for Mac
Apple Silicon and Intel Β· ~6 MB
1Open the .dmg and drag pip into Applications, then open it.
2First launch sets it to open at login and asks for notifications β then you can forget itβs there.
3Click π£ in the menu bar β squad β Log in with GitHub. Thatβs it.
macOS may say it's from an unidentified developer (it's unsigned). Right-click
pip β Open the first time, or run
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine ~/Applications/pip.app.
Download for Windows
Windows 10 / 11 Β· installer Β· no admin needed
Heads up: the current Windows build is v1.14.5, while macOS is on v1.18.0. Windows releases are cut separately and this one hasn't been built yet, so a Windows install will stay on v1.14.5 until it is β auto-update can't bridge the gap. Everything works; you're just missing the newest fixes.
1Run pip-setup.exe. It installs for just you (no admin), adds a Start Menu shortcut, opens at login, and launches pip.
2Find the chick π£ in your system tray, click Open pip, and log in with GitHub.
3Thatβs it β it self-updates from here. To remove it later: Settings β Apps β pip β Uninstall, like any app.
Windows may show a blue Microsoft Defender SmartScreen warning because pip is unsigned.
Choose More info β Run anyway only if you downloaded it from this site.
Prefer a scripted install?
Paste this into PowerShell β it downloads and runs the same installer, no clicks:
